22 / 02 / 2022
Category: Programme News

We are starting the new cycle named PBU in numbers, in which we will present numbers related to the cross-border cooperation between Poland, Belarus and Ukraine – primarily to highlight the PBU projects achievements.

PBU beneficiaries built and modernised regional roads infrastructure, improved safety on local roads and accessibility to various places worth visiting in the area.

Under the PBU Programme:

  • 16 projects were already completed within the thematic objective Accessibility, Priority 2.1 Improvement and development of transport services and infrastructure;
  • 3 projects are still being implemented;
  • 45.5 M EUR was transferred to beneficiaries of Accessibility projects.
    162 km

Thanks to PBU Accessibility projects, more than 162 km of local and regional roads were already modernized and rebuilt:

  • 32 km roads in Belarus;
  • over 43 km roads in Ukraine;
  • more than 87 km roads in Poland;

Thanks to these investments, Polish-Ukrainian and Polish-Belarusian borderland will be better accessible and completed projects will result in safer and more convenient cross-border traffic.

By the end of current Programme edition, under all completed projects we expect to have more than 203 km roads rebuilt and upgraded and more than 17 km newly built.

You may find out more on all PBU Accessibility projects in the Project database on that website.
