Project description

Today, all of Europe is strongly involved in helping Ukraine and the refugees who are constantly leaving territories affected by Russian aggression. Due to its location, the Podkarpackie Voivodeship has become a natural logistics centre for Ukraine. All the support arriving from all over the world is firstly collected in the Podkarpackie, being an intermediary, hub and then is distributed to the areas affected by military operations, also to the west of Ukraine.

Project Podkarpackie_Incubator4UA intended to support the social and entrepreneurial activity of refugees/migrants from Ukraine by creating in the centre of Rzeszów an accessible, free and friendly space (INCUBATOR). This space is dedicated to initiating, experiencing, incubating, and developing solutions and ideas but also serves for the assessment of possible commercialization of those ideas and their social and technological potential. There is a space for originators and social activists, offering a place to develop ideas, with the possibility of free use of equipment (e.g. laptops, printers, software, video-conference devices, the Internet) along with access to a kitchenette and a play area for children. In addition, the Ukrainian population was provided with free support: legal, linguistic and psychological assistance; workshops on setting up and running a business and social activity in Poland; study visits and an e-guide with an educational and promotional toolkit on setting up and running a business and social activity in Poland. Equipment and supplies were also purchased for the Ukrainian regions to support their inhabitants.

It is assumed that the Podkarpackie_Incubator4UA project will contribute to the construction of a permanent, systemic solution supporting originators from Ukraine, permanently rooted in the Podkarpackie system of supporting entrepreneurship, labour market, innovation, and non-governmental organizations.
